Construction began on the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in 1928, however when the great depression hit the next year, construction was delayed and the building was not completed until 1950.
The Veterans Memorial Auditorium is among one of the oldest buildings in the state of Rhode Island and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
