The Palestra is a historical basketball arena located in the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. Located on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, the venue is also known as the Cathedral of College Basketball.
The venue is home to the Penn Quakers men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, and wrestling teams. It also hosts the annual Philadelphia Big 5 Basketball tournament which brings La Salle, Penn, Saint Joseph’s, Temple, and Villanova head to head.
Tickets are available to many sports games. Occasionally concerts, live performances, and university events take place at the Palestra.
