The Alumni Stadium is a historical open-air football stadium located in the city of Chestnut Hill in Massachusetts, a few miles away from Boston. Located on the campus of Boston College, the stadium was built in 1957 and has been updated several times over the years. The field was originally grass, however it is now coated with the newest type of AstroTurf.
The Alumni Stadium can host a capacity of 44,500 guests, which has almost doubled since its constructed in the late 50’s. The venue is home to the Boston College Eagles football team.
Tickets are available to many football games held at the stadium. Other sports occasionally take place at the stadium including soccer matches, rugby, and lacrosse games. Concerts, band marches, and other events take place at the Alumni Stadium during the season.
